The Otakon 2010 Thread (OK now panic)

I feel ya...the entry I was gonna send to Otakon this year I sent to Anime Mid Atlantic at the pleading of a friend. I was in shock that it won and had to scramble to finish something else to submit.

Yea, that's pretty much my problem as my new videos always seem to win something before I can it to this contest I hope to have more time next year and finally submit something new to Otakon...

Again, I'm sure someone is going to argue technicalities here, but this isn't the only place that I twist rules. If I disqualified everyone whose entry was in a wrong, or non-compliant format, I'd seriously only have 22 qualified entries so far.

Even though the anti-trolling rule doesn't apply to me, I'm glad the spirit of the rules is enforced here, and not the letter. It's so frustrating to see the lawyer types these days get their panties in a knot over the wording of a particular law or whatever. (Though I suppose those who wanted could make an argument that if you don't know the different types of video formats, you shouldn't be editing video.)

So, I'm assuming we have a few more than 22 entries this year... can we get a final tally on submissions soon, now that the deadline is past?

On an unrelated note related to trolling, why do we have vuvuzela smilies now?

And also this year maybe give the people working the doors for the AMV stuff a little more of a heads up about the line skipping badges. It worked out in the end but initially they were totally clueless about it.
