Congrats to everyone! This year looks to be a great contest.
Again, I'm sad that some videos I thought should have made it in didn't. =[

Never said Kaze was a jerk
(Yue is just having a little evil fun. I'm a bitch. It happens =w=)
And yeah, I did send out messages to people to send in their old videos. And I seem to remember certain responses along the lines of "Well, if I make a video just for this con and it doesn't make it into the finals due a monkey ton of old videos that have been out for well over a year now...well, that kinda sucks."
EXACTLY. Was I nice and sweet while trying to prove this? Hell no. I hope that everyone who loses to/couldn't make it into the contest due to "Hello Fairy" or any other old videos starts to think twice about the "Well, i likez mah video...imma send it summore!"
I'm not telling everyone to "plaayyy faaaiiirr guuuyyysss =<"
Fuck, I don't play fair by any standards. Ask people I play TF2 with, camping is fun
But for anyone who actually gives a shit about the contest and AMVs in general, looking at the finalists and saying "Oh hey...I saw that last year...actually...well over a year ago. It was ok but why are they still sending it to more cons when it's hella old? Wouldn't cha think that after a year and a half they'd have something new to send in? Guess not :/"
If all else fails, screw the audience. I hate the public, but what the hell ever happened to standards? You can go around claiming that the audience will come stare and cheer for a giant smelly dog turd if they haven't seen it previously but what about those who actually give a shit about the shit?
Love my analogy don't ya?

Nice one. Sorry I snapped, I was just in a bad mood since I finally got in since 2007 and no one likes that vid anyway, despite it being a biotch to make. I originally don't like sending to cons I do not attend and only make them for AX, but my amv friends convinced me otherwise.
And I always make something new every year for a con.... this is the first time an old vid got in for me. Not that I'm complaining, I'm glad at least one of my vids made it since my mom is going to the contest too and wants to see my vid on the big screen.

Your plan backfired because I had *new* videos to send.Radical_Yue wrote:Never said Kaze was a jerk(Yue is just having a little evil fun. I'm a bitch. It happens =w=)

I should have just sent in my VG5 stuff and I would have gotten in easily.

In my eyes I basically took the "You think stabbing yourself in the foot is fun? Let's show you how fun it is when you're full of stab wounds! NOW WHAT?! KHAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!"
I admit. I'm crazy but I'll do whatever the fuck it takes to prove my point.
Besides, you can always send your goodies to NDK and Sacanime
