wow My amv

Post by rteker » Tue May 18, 2010 7:40 pm

Wow, never thought I would have one amv that has a hit of over 1000. Maybe I should do more Queen AMV's to that song  :lol
Or just do them to Queen altogether.

When I first got a video with over 500 hits I was gobsmacked.

And I take special care to make sure I still am.

Hits don't mean much. Downloads/previews are probably a better metric.

That being said, breaking 1000 views these days is somewhat an accomplishment I guess.

Hits aren't a useful metric. Log out and F5 on a vid description page for a while - all the hits you want.

His vid with over 1000 hits also has a lot more stars than his other vids. And 2 OPs too. I believe those are good points to be going by, and especially getting 2 OPs is quite rare nowadays. :P
...although it is a 2k3 vid and ops are from 2k4 and 2k5, and getting OPs back then wasn't as rare... >.>

Yeah yeah, if we're going to start cock waving here, EVERY video I have before 2008 has over 2000 hits. I made a 1 second long video so god damned perfect that it got over 8000 hits. A project I headed has over 18,500 hits. Give it a few minutes and I'm sure someone will be along that can make our e-penis look really tiny though. AMV Hell has a bit less than 300,000 hits and Euphoria is around 450,000.

The point of the original post is that some person who is not part of the community and has no name recognition got over 1000 hits. That actually isn't bad for someone none of us have ever heard from before. Let him be happy and kumbaya and all that shit over his milestone.

Well I may have gotten off to a late start on entering AMV's into contests but yea I'm a virtual unknown unless your looking for AMV's under certain criteria here at a-m-v.org or on youtube (still got video's there after 9 months). I'm trying to make myself more known though, I've entered once again into Otakon's AMV contest with my Psychomoon amv.

I don't really remember the hits, when they got higher and how I felt. What I "concentrated" on was the feedback, the comments,
and all that. I did pay attention and loved to get OPs on the other hand, so I got excited everytime someone left me any :)
(and still do...)
But yeah, congrats on breaking the 1,000 hits I suppose

Since people seem to be sharing their "biggest hits" (lol);
This would prpbably be my most popular video, according to hits and rating/OPs, and so on.
More than Enough - [hits: 23972][opinions: 32]
