Personalized URL for our Profile Page

An idea I had for improving this site - I’d like to know if it is possible to write a code for us to create a “personalized” URL address for our profile pages? For example, something like:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/RubyeyePictures

or even

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/DannielC


I ask because of a couple of reasons.

1) I’m on a couple of other community sites which offer this function for easier convenience to link back to our profiles. And I’m wondering if it’s fairly simple to create a similar feature for this site as well.

2) I’ve discovered that the extra long character string for our profile (and video) URL address’ can’t be externally linked back to on some sites which I try to add it to. It doesn’t recognize the HTTP as a “proper” address because of the [?user_id=11105] at the end. A shorter, identifiable URL would make it easier to add a link to our AMV profile pages on other sites.

Yeah, where is this displayed? Now that you guys point it out for me, I had forgotten all about it.
