I have premiere on CD [friend gave it to me as a copy from his original as "backup" ^_^]

I've asked NOBODY for help with it. I didn't start till Odorikuruu hit me in the skull. [imagine *anvil]

My first videos [4 actually] weren't "true" amvs. Mostly mild experiments. [ask ErMaC, he put up with me. God Bless Him...]

Instead of asking "how do I do this"? like most noobs do, we should say, "read the *%&)(#*$ manual and then ask one of the 'bigger' editors to opinionate you..."

I see no reason having someone ask me for an opinion and then I turn them down.

My first 12 or so opinions came as an email request from me to said editors... icechai and ErMaC being my fav "original opinions".

Instead of "helping" the newb who can't read the HELP file. [hint, most keyboards have it, it's called "F1"]

Have them read the manual, and then make a video, YOU therefore will give them an opinion, [painful but constructive/honest I'm sure] and that was how I came to be 1337 dance vid lozer...

we are or were newbies at one time..so be easy on them..some of them are jackasses..and other are nice and really wanna do amv's, but if we kill them b4 they even try then we'll never know what greatness they're capable of...or what kind of crap they'll make...anyways 8) WE DON'T WANNA BE KNOW AS AMV JERKS....so just help out where u think its neccessary.....and "newbies" can chat with me..whether its on amv's or stuff in general

it's ok to ask dude, and most of the time it's simple and solves everything. I asked about ripping dvds once, not as extensive as gohan but pretty much the same thing. I said I was considering not capturing anymore but ripping, how would i go about this? I got a replying post that said download smartripper. That's all it said, I downloaded it and figured out how it worked. Then the next day after understanding all of this type of stuff, I just asked for the name of a program that converts. I got my answrs short and sweet, that was it. That was a hell of a lot better than reading the damn guides. Sometimes you just need a short answer. The only reason I went into depth with my first post in this thread was i wanted to make sure he didn't ask again. It's NOT a bad thing to help out noobs a little, it may keep them from ever asking questions again, such as myself.

Okay, I have no idea where this thread is going(It's sounding like everyone's old noob expirences) But I'd like to say that I can't blame anyone for thinking of me as a jackass.

I got really pissed yesterday(the day I started this thread and the huge flame on "OhMyBelldandy009") and I have no idea why. At first I thought I was just having a "Bad Day" And was tired of being insulted right and left.(I should have caught the last things "T" said before I cussed him out. . . That would have changed all of your opinions on me being too hard on him) What happened was(oo, yay, get ready for yet another description of this "Bad Day" that will forever go on in history ass "SQ the Jackass") I got this email from the org about "Make A DBZ M.V" that got replied. I wasn't even watching the topic at the time, but I clicked the link anyway. I didn't like what "OhMyBellDandy009" said about the "ignorant guy who makes crappy AMVs in two hours"(Or something along the lines of that) because it offended me. I made "Pills" and "feeling for the First Time" in two hours. Check the reviews on "Pills", people. So I just said "Yeah, this is that thread, but I wouldn't call him the "(insert what she called him here)" Because I make AMVs in two hours, and they seemed to turn out well. . ." Which I figured she'd catch on as me saying "Please don't use that term, it offends me". Apparently she didn't, (or did and didn't care) and told me "Just stop talking. . . " And for some odd reason that made me blow up and I flamed her ass off. I shouldn't have done that. It was wrong, but it was really what I was feeling at the time. Besides, I REALLY don't like how she exploits women and girls with her banners/avatars. But that shouldn't have made me Flame her in that way.

After that, "T" Imed me, I asked him those few questions, then I helped him, even though I thought it was pretty rude. I didn't SAY it was rude, but it was roughly implied. After I helped him, and he said that what I told him didn't work, I had to leave, so I said "Talk to me later, I g2g". When I came back a few hours later, he preceeded to tell me that all of what I said was "Cr@p" and I tried to figure out what went wrong in my instructions. It always worked with my Premiere. I asked him what version he had. He had the same as me, and I said, "well, maybe you should look at the guides, or the first post in the "General AMVs Forum" In that exact wording. Exact. No puntuation differences or cap difference. Notta.

And he came back at me with "What is with you people? You all talk about "(Insert URL of AMV forum page here)" like it's some kind of god"

And I was still trying to keep my head on my shoulders at that point. I replied with. "Well, maybe the guides where there to help you"

After that, he preceeded to tell me that all my info was "Cr@p" I needed to pray to the AMV forum, and, My favorite:

"Did you pray to the AMV forum today for good luck? I didn't. Haha!"

And at that time I lost it. He was mocking the entire org! I couldn't stand it anymore, so I went all capitalized and "yelled" at him about how he should read the guides, the FIRST post in the genreal AMVs forum, and how he had the ignorance to stop me, and not read naything in the forum or even LOOK at the guides for help, and added in a lot of useless "adjectives" that really weren't needed.

If he had just pressed "Help" in his premiere, it would have solved EVERYTHING.

Yes that's right "Help" has it's own button.

But NO, You have to bug innocent people into cussing people off because they're so frustrated with you!

Anyway. . . I think the reason for all this happeneing is my bottled up hatred of people over the past few years, and it just came out yesterday because I couldn't stand it any longer. I'm apologizing, but just for the mere fact that "Mom told me to". Because I don't really think it's right to apologize.

I DID try everything I could to be nice to the noob about telling him about the guides and the posts and I DID help him with Premiere. As I would have said around 10 years a go: "He started it". As for my Flame for "OhMyBelldandy009" I tried to tell her that I thought that comment was offensive, but I went way too far with my "explanation" of why I was offended.

((As for the around 4 thousand thing. . I just glanced. . Must've missed a zero. . . Sorry. . . Otherwise my percents are right. . . ))

Wow. Ive never seen sombody who has been here a whole month give sombody so much shit for being new. I bet its pretty cool though to be born with the exact info needed to use premiere, and not have had to ask for help ever.

Mr T, whoever you are, feel free to PM or AIM me if you need any questions answered (though you may want to give a few tutorials a good look over before doing so).

I'm very proud you think of me as a Jackass. I deserve it. Really.(I'm not being sarcastic. I pity myself in too many ways. degrade myself in many others.)

I may be new to the org, but I've been making AMVs for a while now, and before that, I had expirence in making slideshows to anime because I didn't have "the stuff" to make AMVs. I did slideshows for about two years. That really gave me a great starting point.

But I did help him. And I came back after I had to leave and I tried to gather what was wrong with my information.

Well, I guess I'm too "High and Mighty" to help him.

So, I'm guessing RadicalEd0 never tried to help someone and it didn't work?

And, when it didn't, and that person is offended by all that smart remarks the guy is saying to you that your info is crap, and your crap, and the whole org is crap, that you'd go and insult the person who tried to help that person but failed but wasn't trying to fail?

Oh, and I'm SURE you wouldn't get upset by someone flaming you for trying your best but blowing up anyway because you've had hatred bubbling up for years.

And I'm POSITIVE you wouldn't degrade someone for JUST apologizing about their outburts, not even two posts above yours??

the only way for a n00b to really learn is to test and experiment himself to death
thats how i did it and i can encode u guys in circles because of it :/

although I do help n00bs alot.. but.. i shouldnt
