Post by gothichyppie83 » Tue May 04, 2010 3:34 am

The melody is actually 'Le clan des siciliens', it wasn't listed!
This surely won't be my last Daisuke Jigen AMV, he's my all-time favorite!
Enjoy!

You can add new songs to the database. :)
If info are locked, I believe you can request to add a song to it, but I'm not sure if you can add a new song to the database through that way...

Thanks, I'll check on that! I mean I still need to check for the instructions to upload a video so...

This video doesn't really do what drama AMVs are supposed to do. The most obvious job of drama AMVs is for them to tell a dramatic and understandable story. All you did was show a bunch of scenes with a bunch of different women that seem to have nothing to do with each other. You could have gotten away with this is if there were lyrics to describe each character, but since you used a instrumental, your story needed to be very specific and obvious. I honestly couldn't understand anything about this AMV's plot. And in the beginning, everything was confusing because of how you introduced all the women at once.

I consider myself to be a drama AMV editor, so here are a few guidelines that I follow when I'm making a drama AMV.
Spoiler :
If the AMV revolves around 2 people, don't show any characters besides those two people. (even background characters should be shown a little as possible)

The amv shouldn't revolve around more than 2 characters unless all the characters are specifically related to each other or have very similar stories. My Gunslinger Confessions AMV kinda walks a thin line with this rule.

The AMV's plot should be made as obvious as possible, so keep it simple. And if the song has lyrics, use them as best you can. If the song doesn't have lyrics, make the plot even more simple and ignore any and all sub-plots.

And lastly, well placed cross-fades can help the story along. Also, poorly placed cross-fades can annoy your viewers.
