I would check to see if your computer is up to date. Perhaps haali splitter needs updating?

Given the sheer positive reactions on editing flow, especially from veterans, I think you may be having issues viewing the video correctly. There was clear technique to myself and others.

Or your taste could just wildly differ, but if so, you are in the minority.
