another thing a noob should do is the same thing any of us that are any good did. Make a video with Windows Movie Maker, it's a great learning tool and we all did it at one time or another.

When I first started making vids, I used Premiere from the very start. No WMM for me (Besides, I was using 2000, XP hadn't come out yet and ME was crap)

eeh, straight to Premiere for me, no WMM or anything else.

and, uh, I think it's a little presumptuous to say that "any of us that are any good" used WMM once.

Someone might get offended, or something.

I said used at one time or another. I didn't necisarily say they made a video, or use the program ona regular basis. But common, everyone is familer with wmm. And it's not such a bad idea for a noob to experience with it.

Tis true, porn got me really rolling into video editing.

God damn MPEGs, so much space being taken up >_<. What? I remember seeing something on D---i--v--x? back in highschool a bit ago ?

VirtualDub ? What what is that?

How do I use this thing? The porn is in, but I can't get it to convert ?

ahhh :O I need to enabled full processing. Oh and there is a compression option, and oh a codec isn't just a piece of software, it's more of a component for the vfw interface(well I didn't really think that at the time :\ ).

Needless to say, I converted all my porn to like 300kbps divx files with 64kbps mp3 audio.. Moi haha me was the l33t I thought.

Then it all fell into place after that. Actually, I got Premiere and then I got depressed from watching Misato die and I wanted to express my rage and I sat down for a weekend and made The Final Day using transitions shutter, a fansub mpeg1 version of EoE & virtual dub. I converted the clips to 6000kbps divx3.11a files and then imported them in. I didn't know how to cut files up or even how to speed up slow down clips >_< . Such a newb as me was :p

Oh man, that was said. I was speeding up and slowing down clips by adjusting the fps in virtualdub, how sad is that >_<

Hehehe. But I didn't bug anyone about it. Nor did I annoy. I read the manual and err read the help forum and played with the effects.
