the original idea is a good idea at least. zarx made some good videos for the new Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a>, it would be nice to have some for like a more general guide or website-related guide.

I don't think we should have an AMV per se, but I like the idea of a video or a slideshow promoting how to use the site via flash pop-up or something.
I've seen other websites do it, and as long as there's a skip function or it's optional (like view a how-to video HERE!) then I'm supportive.

I also like the contest to make the video. I think it would get some interesting/awesome results. We could have it around the same time as the VCA? Or maybe right after?
"VCA Winners announced. Get your site help vids ready for the deadline in 2 months" or something.
It would bring a whole new cohesive-ness to the site and community.

Only problem I can see really is who has to sit and watch all these videos... Or a bunch of people being "But I don't WANT to export to FLV format!" xP
