Was thinking of looking for some japanese hip hop(or atleast hiphop/rap with Japanese sub theme going on)to make a champloo video.

I know you asked for Japanese but I subject Drunken Tiger he's a Korean rapper the man has mad flow and he switches his language from Korean to English I say 90% of his songs are Korean so you might wanna check the guy out

funny you mention soul'd out
they did a song with heartsdales which is my recommendation
also monkey magic, seamo, shing02 (not because he did champloo, I like lots of his songs)
and also I am a huge fan of home made kazoku so definitely I agree
you should try last.fm or pandora.com to see what you can find. Although, admittedly pandora has a very limited selection. Although for some reason 2 of my faves polysics and the pillows (not rap) are in abundance on there.
