Arakawa Under The Bridge
Andddddd we have a new SHAFT anime which looks identical to Bakemonagatari animation-wise. The premise of the story and dialogue is weird... well its SHAFT. I liked the interaction between Kou and Nino though, mainly because Nino is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto and is putting on her 'Shiki Ryougi' voice =P

Only potentially good show this season. Don't let me down again, SHAFT.

?! Nino is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto? =O Wow, 'never would have guessed. I'm so used to her Hitomi Kanzaki voice.
Anyways, personally I couldn't really get into Bakemonogatari but my friend told me this one was especially good.
So I went ahead and watched episode 1: it was actually quite enjoyable! Especially with Keiji Fujiwara as The Kappa. XD ('Least I think its him.)

Episode 2 was very .... unique. This series is pretty thought provoking actually. Loved it when she said "I asked who you are, not what you own," or whatever. Very nice.

So far I'm pleasantly amused. Definitely very shaft, fucking spastic as all hell, but actually also quite thought-provoking. Obviously someone on Shaft's writing team is a psychologist. Although if Bakemonogatari was purely Freudian, this is going to other places I'm not quite catching onto yet. Cool social stuff though.
Fokken approve of this show. Possibly like this better than Bakemonogatari. Not animation-wise, but just as a story.
The eye thing is driving me fucking nuts though (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you've seen it)

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Re: Arakawa Under The Bridge
hmm ending of ep3... maybe Nino got thrown away by her rich family or got amnesia and ended up there or something? Anyway amusing ep about Recruit (Ric? err what is his official alias, fansubbers keep changing) trying to score a date with Nino. btw if anyone hasn't already noticed, the voice actor who plays Sister does the voice of heaps of other anime characters with the same type of face =P
