Erm...where do I start? Or do I even bother? Meh, I'll answer the things that actually made sense (PS2 controller bad because no letters on buttons?KungPaoChicken wrote:My my this thread has grown since i first made it.
Well, first of all... the PS2 controller is pretty e-tarded. well, just a few things... the analog buttons? a gimmick. oh ya, its a gimmick alright. Sure you got your 256 levels of pressure sensors, but for one, which games actually use it? and for another, how much room is there for the button to give to actually allow for that much a difference? to me it still seems like push, and push harder. the button sinks in a bit more, and thats it. maybe a millimeter or two. 256 levels in 2 millimeters? ya...
Secondly, call me dsylexic (actually, I am), but whats with all those shapes for buttons? I, for one, can never remember. or maybe because I'm dsylexic. Heck, XBOX controller at least had letters, at least i'll give Microsoft's tank that much.
Third, handles digging into your palms doesnt equal more gripping. it does equal, however, more discomfort. I concur.
Fourth, why so many shoulder buttons? They're not even practical anymore... awkward position, etc.
Anyway, thats the rant of a mad man, but then, B next to A always worked for me.
Oh, I'm dsylexic, too.
Oh and one more thing... VF4 is probably sooooo much better than VF3 because VF3 really sucked and VF4 just sucked.
Or something like that.

I hardly see how the analogue sticks are a gimmick, either you don't actually have a PSX/2 or you've never played a game that needs them. The shoulder buttons? Play Metal Gear Solid, all needed, it's also why the XBOX version sucks and it won't be going to Gamecube. The L/R triggers I admit aren't need for loads of games, but they're there all the same, for all the games that use them well, FFX, GTA3, ZOE, etc. Pressure levels? Having them over 256 levels I admit is overkill, yet having them on all racers and a number of beat'em ups. They're just there, arguing against a controller because they have extra features is just plain stupid, if they're there, some games use them.
And VF4 a bad game? You have very poor taste in beat'em ups, if any.
