Depressing/Tear-jerking scenes + scenes of someone waiting

I'm looking for some tear-jerking scenes in anime (maybe that one breakdown scene in Air is tear-jerking to you. Stuff that makes you want to cry, that's what I'm looking for.)

I'm also looking for scenes where a character is waiting for another character and is looking rather lonesome. I know there is a lot of these out there, and I've found a few myself, but I'm particularly looking for scenes with a lonely/dark atmosphere, as if that person were never to come. Something like that? Sorry for the bad explanations
Oh, but if you could find a scene with a little boy or wife/gf/loved-one waiting, that'd be even better! But I'll take whatever is available to me.

it seems like there is a lot of that in Cowboy Bebop if I remember right. Can't think of the specific eps except that the very first scene of the first ep starts with Spike waiting

Little boy: Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. There's a lot of him waiting and Asuka waiting, and Misato... There's a lot of waiting in that show and despair and stuff.
I can't think of any specific eps off the top of my head though, so I'll try to get back with some of them.

Pandora Hearts: Alice in the middle of episode 7

Well specifically when in the episode where Tomoya asks Nagisa to marry him, when he's trying to hurt himself and they end up lying against the wall together: that pretty much makes me want to cry.
And as for people waiting for others, you could use that one guy from Clannad when it was the arc that flashed back to Misae's school days. I'm pretty sure the blonde kid waited every day at the school entrance for her (and there's one shot after he finds out that the giuy she likes is going out with someone, and as he's waiting, he's looking rather depressed.)

You can find that in the anime KGNE(Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien). From what I recall, 90% of the anime was like that from the principal character's POV. After, I think, episode 2 (3+) you will find many. About what you first said, I don't know, it's subjective, but this one could serve good as well.

PD. you can search for amv's of this anime and will probably find the scenes I'm talking about and will know if they're good enough.
