Yeah, I think the big idea here is that perfection (or at least studio-type perfection) lacks significance and identity. If you can't really feel the presence of a human being behind the music then it doesn't have much effect. Studio shining tries to wear down the feeling of personality that music could otherwise express.

Something which is seriously damaging pop music in England are compititions such as Pop stars, Pop Idol, Pop Stars Rivals and Fame Academy.

However it has allowed the masses to wake up and realise how manufactured bands have become, where people have actually begun to hate such groups. Such as Hear Say (who won the first Pop Stars) were booed everywhere and went downhill after their first single went No.1, a year after they were formed they broke up.

Unfortunately there are still very stupid people who buy crap like.......... "The cheeky sonf (touch my bum)" , which is digraceful. IT WENT BLOODY 2ND IN THE CHARTS!!! 2ND!!!!!! Also not surprisingly they were first shown on Pop Stars Rivals and became famous due to the awfulness of their audition, and a record company signed them up.........but 2ND IN THE SINGLES CHARTS!!! COME ON!!!! Just download the song and you can hear the worst song ever created.

Yay. They did it in germany, and now we are searching for the "one" Pop Star here in austria, too. ARGH >_<
But the masses don't realize how much those bands are being thrown together by some company which wants just the "perfect" band for those very people. They just keep buying this shit!

Peace out,

That's what I can't stand with all these pop songs. They are just made to entertain the masses / make the most money out of it.
It was like that in the 80s, too, but back then you actually had to be able to play your instruments, write your own lyrics, and create your own style most of the time. Nowadays, you have like 20 people for one lousy fucking vocalist (who may not be able to sing on their own), doing all that.

YES! YES! POP SUCKS!!! Image

Pop will only die the day people stop listening to music for the shallow reason that it's just what's playing and everyone listens to it. I found I really like a little classical, jazz, blues, and anime soundtracks with my punk and metal. To Hell with pop!

rather it supposed to die or not it needs to, its worthless, has no feeling and no meaning.
Madness and genius are seperated only by degrees of success.
I don't think necessity is the mother of invention - invention, in my opinion, arises directly from idleness, possibly from laziness. To save oneself trouble.
