If it was any one thing in particular I think trying to bring the live stream in really killed the call from my end. For some reason my mic would cut out according to skype, but on my end with my recording software it would keep going. In the end this makes it hard to talk to the other hosts. Sadly, after trying to keep the show going it all kind of fell flat due to technical difficulties, so much so that I couldn't even get anything recorded.

Suffice to say, I think we're gonna try again tomorrow, but without the talkshoe call interface to see if perhaps that is what caused the problem. If so I may have to look into other alternatives to live stream the show, or look into bitching out my ISP if they were the ones to blame (though I doubt it.)

As this is a new system I expected there to be some hic ups. I appreciate everyone's patience while I work on getting the whole system up and running as it should. Unfortunately, it seems my PCs habit of not liking skype is starting to catch back up with me again. If this persists I'll find another solution.

If worse comes to worse just set up a second skype or system that records it. That way you wouldn't have to worry about direct feedback as well as recording 2 streams at ones. Then let that second system also mediate the livestream and you're set.

I've thought about doing that , though with how my system works I'd have to use a 2nd skype account. The problem with my mic and skype seems to be connected to my PC's hatred for skype and not talkshoe. As seen during today's recording my mic would be picked up by skype for the first min of the call and then it would just cut out, but still be active and recording on my end of things. Skype has always had problems working on this PC for some unknown reason.

I have a few solutions, one is to run skype on my old PC that didn't have the problem with skype. My other solution is to re-install my OS or upgrade to win7 (since I'm about 2 years overdue on re-installing my OS) as there must be something on my PC that is interfearing with skype. I could also say screw skype and use some other service, but I'll wait to get to that when the time comes.
