Anyone do Gameplay Videos?

I don't know the "technical" term, but video games to music..

these are a couple from a free online game called League of Legends, i'd like to improve my video quality for the third if anyone knows of a good editor.

i don't know how entertaining they are if you don't play the game, but it's based off an old Warcraft3 custom game, D.O.T.A.

The techinical term for those videos is machimina.

As downwithpants said: You better go to machinima.com. They are (as far as I know) a dedicated site for this videos. Just like a-m-v.org is for AMVs.

afaik machinima is more drama based. I didn't watch these but if these are just tutorials or recorded lan party footage than I'd look more at gametrailers.com (user movies). But yeah, animemusicvideos.org is definitely not the place.

Ok I play Halo 3 and so many monatages are so obsolete. Yayz! Once again somebody who no scopes. WOOOOOOW! Heck I no scope too from time to time and if I would record those clips and compile it into a montage like this it would all look the same.

This is no offense against your work, but for your friend: What's the point? He no scopes from time to time. You don't know at all if it's relevant at all. It's nothing special and a lame ego boost. He doesn't do insane sticks, there are hardly any skillfull multikills or "omg! I can believe he did that" or "wow he just fought 4 players at once and one." It's mediocre at it's best and therefor not worth for an egocentric montage. Heck every half ass player with a capture card has one of those.

Now some critsm on your work:
Okay we got it. Stop syncing this dumb beats. I don't want it or need it. Why? Just why? All you see are some very short clip where you can grasp the situation of the scene. All you see is a person who gets sniped in a second. Wow =/ Most of the time you can even get the movement of the player, so you don't know if this was very tricky or not. At least it got better after some time. I still think that frantic vids make bad monatges. The sake of a montage is to show off some stuff and not some stupid syncing. God I hate this trend.


Now I want a Machimina thread to present our own machinimas, so I can get mad on many more half ass montages.

Lol an actual criticism. But that video was made 2 years ago. And even then I made it purposefully over-the-top cheesy with effects and repeats and speed ups and beat syncs and what not because I knew he would think it was awesome. I would never pull that stuff with a video I was serious about. So yeah, it was made purely as an ego boost for him. He never bothered to correct anyone who thought he edited it himself. Hell even he probably thinks he made the video by this point.
