Re: Full Metal Alchemist
Al seems to go back and forth between a boyish voice and a girlish voice. When she gets the boy voice down, she sounds pretty spot-on to me.Dar wrote:ed's voice is excellent, al sounds like a little girl.

Yeah, it seems to be hit and miss with her. Episode 2 seemed to be like a prepubescent girl, but episode 3 I thought was better. More masculine than feminine.Hagaren Viper wrote:Al seems to go back and forth between a boyish voice and a girlish voice. Just me, but does anyone else miss the original series's opening dialogue? The new one I don't think is as... elegant (with lack of a better word).
I am a little confused here. In the previews after ep 3, they showed how they are supposed to go to see the sewing life alchemist. In the original, he went there to train to become a state alchemist. So is he just going for another reason? In episode 2 it showed him in front of the furher king bradley and the other guys taking the state alchemy test, where he transmuted a spear thing and Bradley cut it somehow. Will it be the alchemy test again, but in more detail than episode 2, just him going to see the sewing life alchemist Tucker, or did the original mess up the timeline? Sorry, but I never read the manga...

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
Maybe you didn't notice it before because you were younger and didn't have as much of an ear for that sort of thing, or you were too entranced by everything to pay attention to little details like that, but rest assured, it was there in the original series. They had Aaron Dismuke speak into a metal bowl to get Al's voice that way. In the Jap version, Rie Kugimiya spoke into a soda can. I doubt that they would do it any different now since it worked so well the first time.Joe88 wrote:anyway, I did notice something (in general)
