Sounds like you'd make an excellent red mage in FF11 I mean egotists and script kiddies tend to be damage dealers (black mages, dark knights, dragoons and so on) while supporters (ie women) tend to be white mages, but the ones really needed in battles are the red mages and bards, they just get the job done and as quickly as possible. A good one keeps this in mind.
(oh and f#$%!NG with ppls minds as you do this and make it look so easy, there is no better rush *_* BUT unlike MW2 in MMO's you have to solo and soloing in such a class is a BITCH >.<)

Re: Dumb AI and HI
I was a red mage in ff11 but that game was terrible so I quit playing it. I played almost nothing but mage in WoW for a bit, and got to the point where I would grind by killing between 5-10 of something my same level or above with blizzard. I constantly got accused of using some kind of bot when people would see me do it over and over. Also randoms would just stop and watch before whispering "DAMN!!!!!!" Here's what you do.
1.) Cast your ice shield.
2.) Mount and circle around in a spiral, nabbing mobs on the way.
3.) DO NOT pull any casters or guys with ranged attacks.
4.) Gather them close together, at this point your shield should just about be done.
5.) Cast frost nova, (automatically dismounting you) then blink away immediately!
6.) IMMEDIATELY turn and cast your first blizzard, making sure they have to walk through the ENTIRETY of the circle to get to you. They should be on the furthest edge of the circle from you.
7.) When your first blizzard is at about 80% done, cast a second one, same deal, making them walk through it to get to you.
8.) At this point you have two options. You can either frost nova and blink again if they are still too beefy, or:
9.) Cone of Cold, that should finish them off. Still a straggler? Wand em to death. Arcane explosion is quite effective but also a waste of mana if you're frost spec'd, which you should be for this.
If you're geared properly, (I did as much intellect as I could possibly get, then split the rest between spirit/stamina, emphasis on stamina) this should only take up 1/3 of your mana pool. At like level 62 or whatever I was when I took a break from the game last, I was able to do this around 4 times on one mana pool, use Evocate and get all my mana back almost instantly, do it 4 more times, Evocate again, etc. That way you stay up and moving for a LOOONG time, making grinding a lot easier. Also was a chanter, so I could get rid of my junk greens and turn them into way more profitable materials.
