I highly doubt there will be a sequel. As kthulhu said, there is little they could do and still stay true to the story and not be boring. But, like Chaos, I believe they could do a prequel. Exactly what that would entail, I have no clue. Frankly, I think Anno went insane after the first 24 episodes of Evangelion.

Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Actually, he WAS institutionalized which is why it took so long for End of EVA to come out. That's right boys and girls, the man was certifIED, way past the point of certifIABLE.
He made the last two episodes just before he lost it and had to be put away for a while. He came back, finished the series, and MOVED ON. Trust, I don't think this is going to go down anytime soon. Sequel or prequel.

i can blurt that out because none of you will believe me
your welcome
no.. wtf? cat is talking about the series ending, you're talking about the movie endingKubo* wrote:What happened was he thought that was a good idea which made a big mess of everyone, but in the end he let the AT feild come exist again so even though everyone got smashed toghther all they have to do is will themselfs back into being.CaTaClYsM wrote:I see...and how are they going to redo evangelion? shinji chose instrumentality so they are going to have to have it take place from inside the mass mind.
aside from that, I don't think eva will EVER have a sequel two reasons
1) EoE is sort of a jab at all the fans who demanded the movie anyway
2) there's no where worth going with it anymore
this was disscused to death on the old Evangelion.com forums, does anyone know exactly what happened to that site one day it was just gone...
as for a sequel.. its really only possible following the movie storyline. In which case it would probably revolve around shinji and asuka and people trying or not trying to bring themselves back. However any sort of actual eva/angel sort of action, as said, would totally screw up the story. Although you never know, we need Milo's opinion on this one..
