Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
The English voice cast had better return for this new movie. If they don't, I'm going to be disappointed. Is there any word on that yet? Because this dub was just awesome. I really hated all dubs until I saw this show, it completely proved wrong everything I thought about anime dubs, and it gave me a little more faith in them. The English voice acting was almost just as good as the Japanese! And it appears I'm not the only one who thinks so. Alot of others I've met really enjoyed the English dub for Haruhi, so not dubbing this new movie would be a very bad choice for Bandai. I mean, I was disappointed when they didn't end up dubbing season 2, but then I realized it makes perfect sense why they decided not to dub season 2, it mostly consisted of one episode the entire time, and dubbing it would be a total waste of money and talent for them. But considering how many people are likely going to buy this movie in America, dubbing the movie would earn so much money for Bandai! Seriously, unless this movie just plain sucks, there's no reason not to dub it.
What do you guys think? And if you didn't like the Haruhi dub (even though you should), don't flame please.

This. Looks reaaaaaally epic. Haruhi Suzumiya with actual depth? I'm game.ZephyrStar wrote:OH MOTHER OF GOD DO WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks FANTASTIC. Yuki showing any kind of emotion at all = SHIT JUST GOT REAL.
Whoa, good theory.EkaCoralian wrote:From what I can interpret from the trailer, I think that since Haruhi disappears, Koizumi, Yuki and so on think they are normal people while Kyon remembers all of them in their supernatural forms.
That also might explain why the blue-haired program-girl appeared (because it could be like that fight never happened, and she did not need to be programmed because Haruhi is gone.)

What are you talking about? As far as I've heard, they haven't even announced that they've LICENSED season 2, much less started dubbing it. I'm sure they will be producing a dub in due time just as with the first season.SovietJedi wrote:I mean, I was disappointed when they didn't end up dubbing season 2, but then I realized it makes perfect sense why they decided not to dub season 2, it mostly consisted of one episode the entire time, and dubbing it would be a total waste of money and talent for them.

Yeah, I've never heard of an english dubbing company ditching an anime's sequel/second season before.

I was under the impression that the 2nd season was not going to be dubbed... but, Sweet Jesus, it is?!
Well then I guess that means Bandai will have to, without a doubt, dub the movie! Thank you for pointing out my ridiculous flaw.

Look at that animation! It's like ungodly beautiful!
Anyone know if this movie will get a limited release in US theatres like the recent Evangelion movie did? The Evangelion movie got released in 77 North American theatres, so there's really no reason this Haruhi movie shouldn't.
