Re: K-On! [Vitality AMV]
Wasn't too bad. I've seen far worse. Still, I would rate this 2.5/5. And actually, I think with that I'm still too nice.
Good things first:
You grabbed the basic concepts of AMV making. It was fun to watch. I guess it'd be even a bit better if one likes the anime, I never cared about it.
Music matched, you worked with it, had some special effects, which made sense.
And now for the bad things...
What is up with the quality? 1280x720 is big and HD and whatnot. But it looked pixilated, blurry and was full of lines. And you can see the compression. Ugrh. Srsly.
No one wants to see that.
Then it was short. Not necessarily bad, but it ended so abrupt I was like "Hu? What? Did my player crash? Was that everything?"
AMVs should have something that makes you aware of where you are, even without looking at the players progress bar. Beginning, middle, end.
Sorta like that. You had a beginning, lots of middle and no end at all...
If it wasn't for the quality I'd say the first 25 seconds were awesome! Just the fast paced pictures, without too many cuts and the music perfectly matching that etc.
Good job on that.
But afterwards it was just another generic random scenes you liked with generic japanese pop music (?). Didn't understand a word, if you know what I mean.
I hope this little critism helps you on your way up. ^^

Now a short reply concerning the "weak" points:
Yes, I know I'm having serious issues when it comes to quality .. even though I've tried all the possible ways of rendering .. it still looks horrible

And yes, it was really short but that's because I got bored and didn't want to ruin it even more by finishing it (plus I didn't have enough footage) ..
Anyways, thanks so much again .. I'll do my best for the next vid
