In a serious mess

Seems like I forgot my password to my account.

I haven't deleted my cookies, so I'm still signed on default here on the forums. But on the site, I can't seem to remember my password. I keep trying, but I don't log in. The weird part about it, I don't seem to EVER rememeber changing my password.

Could it have something to do with me making a name change request?

I would try to reset it, but the e-mail I signed up with here, got suspended. I obviously can not change my e-mail without my password.

Is there anything I can do. Perhaps a site mod understanding my situation and change my e-mail?

Since you're logged in on the forum, change your email address here:

Is there any way you can prove your identity? Understand the reason for skepticism - Your exact MO would be the same if you had access to someone's computer and were doing this to fuck with them.

If so, how do you expect me to prove my identity other than me explaining the situation? I know it sounds stupid, and its probably just matter of me brainlessly forgetting my password, but I am who I am and I'm not the most well known guy around these parts. I never gave anyone my password so its very unlikely I've gotten hacked(As I am still logged on, obviously).

And just how do I access this account without a password to try to fuck someone over? And no, I do not share my computer with anyone else.

Well, by still being logged into the forum and posting a thread saying that you don't remember the password and can't access the e-mail address associated with that account.

This may be a long shot, but I see you participated in a birthday MEP for someone. You knew them well enough to make a birthday video for them, perhaps that person (or one of the collaborators) can vouch for you?

Yeah, that must be perfectly it Ileia. Don't you think if I'm going to try to fuck someone over, I'd make a lot less obvious? Maybe some funny posts? Why do I bother?

Anyway thanks to the mods for changing my e-mail. They can obviously view my I.P activity and see that I am the owner of this account and not some random fucks calling me a hacker.

We weren't saying you were a hacker, just that it's possible. When you post in the "Site Help" section of an open forum, there is a slight chance that "random fucks" might try to help you.

Sorry for throwing that in there, I know you're trying to help. I just feel like this is an issue a mod should attend to and after saying I never gave my password to anyone while going through Q & A about it doesn't feel like I'm being helped but rather accused. It's all good now.

Anywho, I reset my pass and all is fine now. Thanks everyone.
