We need submissions... there haven't been all that many yet...

I got 3 emails today i'm just getting to. I'm trying to get the logon info, but my contact for that isn't available at the moment. Expect a response email tomorrow.TwilightChrono wrote:Well, I would like to request FTP Permission to upload my entries for this year. I have two vids.
I sent an e-mail, but have yet to get a reply...so....yeah. FTP Upload Acces For AAC would be nice XDD So I could get this done today
Well. One last thing. One of my video's is 848 x 480. I don't have the project files for it anymore, so I can't downsize it without quality loss, and it's already in MP4 format. Will 848 x 480 be okay?BasharOfTheAges wrote:The contest is getting burned to a compliant NTSC DVD spec, so anything larger than 720x480 is going to have to be converted downwards.TwilightChrono wrote:What's the max Resolution that we can submit a video with? It didn't clarify and I didn't wanna send in something that went over. I be sending in 2 vids this year.
Sorry for the delayed response - I've been rather sick.
It'll be downsized by the software i'm using to build the DVDs. I'd run it through something on your end to add letter-boxing (at least) to get it how you want it before submitting, because how the software spits it out is how it's going to be on the disc - (in)correct AR, good/bad encode, and all.TwilightChrono wrote:Well. I don't exactly know if my software will support vob or not. It'd be safer to upload MPEG2.TwilightChrono wrote:I got the file fixed to 720 x 480 with no loss of quality.
It is MPEG 2. But however, the actual file is a Vob. What are your feeling on this? Is it ok to send in a MPEG 2 inside of a Vob?
If not a Can change it. The audio is AC3 as well.
