Beo's Guide to Good Health

Post by Beowulf » Wed Sep 30, 2009 5:19 pm

Being a diabetic, good health is more important to me than most. I'm not going to bore you with my credentials, just believe everything in this guide at face value and you will live a healthier, happier, and less expensive life.

RULE #1: Don't eat/drink anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Nothing. No exceptions. That includes all soda.

RULE #2: Don't eat/drink anything with Aspartame. Aspartame is a neuro-toxin that slowly, and surely, gives you brain damage. It is highly addictive. Any sort of "diet" soft drink has aspartame in it.

RULE #3: Don't eat/drink anything that has "Natural Flavors" or "Artificial Flavors". Those two names are umbrella terms that usually mean MSG. MSG, funnily enough, also causes brain damage, is highly additive, and makes you fat.

RULE #4: Cook using olive oil, or butter. Nothing else, under any circumstances. The more olive oil you ingest, the better.

RULE #5: Find out what your blood type is, and eat according to it. This requires a lot more work than the other rules, but you will love yourself. Example: If your a blood type A, then you eat lots of veggies and carbs, no red meat, and very little dairy. If your a blood type O, then you eat almost no bread, lots of red meat, very little dairy, and moderate fruit. Etc etc.

Its a bit shocking at first to go into your local supermarket and realize that EVERYTHING you buy has either natural flavors or high fructose corn syrup, but don't dower. You'll live longer, healthier, and happier. Questions are welcome.

I've been doing something similar in my own diet as part of a new health plan.

RULE #1: Don't eat/drink anything with Salt.

RULE #2: Don't eat/drink anything sugar.

RULE #3: Don't eat/drink anything that has caffine.

RULE #4: Cook using olive oil/canola oil, or butter. Nothing else, under any circumstances. The more olive oil you ingest, the better. [Ironically, this is the same thing I have on my rule sheet]

RULE #5: Zero Pig/Cow meat or any other red meats. Turkey/Chicken is your friend.

RULE#6: 100 OZ Water a Day

Rule#7: 30 minutes of hearty walking a day.

Lost thirty pounds and feel better than I ever have felt in my life.

So listen to the beo. LISTEN.

Nothing is wrong with Salt, its just that the American diet has about 500x the amount you need.

Salt isn't bad for you. Excess is.

*reads the rules*

I've been unknowingly following those rules all along actually... aside the almost no bread thing, I guess (blood type 0 here).

True. But anything TV dinner/diet dinner/anythingmicrowavable here in America related has at the very least 400 mg of sodium/salt, which is still way too much [or at least I think]. So I just made it a pretty much general rule to cut it completely unless it's me cooking it.

I dunno, this is just what works for me. >.> Everything seems to meld together pretty well for me, and I'll definitely be adding your input to my plan Beo.

I follow all of these except the last. I really should figure out my blood type though.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Do I have to quit smoking to be healthy? Or can I chug down some tofu while smoking and live forever?

I should clarify that nothing is wrong with red meat either, it just depends on your blood type.

Whenever you eat a steak do you find yourself energized? Or do you become sluggish and tired? If you answered the later, you might be a blood type A.
