Kevin Caldwell Set The Standard...Now I'm Gonna Break It...
The First 35 Seconds Of AMV History
Additional Footage To Be Used In The Video
It's not quite done yet...but what can I say, I just love being a tease. Eh heh heh heh... The video, when complete (sometime in January), will have 80% of the song lyrics lip synched! It's going to be entitled Nelvana's Inspiration. Because the whole basis behind it is, hey if Nelvana can take 70 episodes of an anime, turn them into 35, and in the process alter every last character personality, setting, and plot...so can I. Only where Nelvana did a hack job, I'm gonna do a good job. ^_^
Nearly ALL the footage in the video will be digitally edited. Unfortunately those who aren't really familiar with Cardcaptor Sakura won't be able to truly appreciate the beauty of the design, but whether it's the lip synch, reversing and cross splicing video segments, creating conversations between two characters that never even happened, making a characters eyes close, suck their thumb, you name it, I'm gonna do it. `, )

Here's a quick example of some of the cross clip editing I did in the first 35 seconds.

As you can see I took the mouth from clip 02, roated it at a 20 degree angle and then superimposed it onto the second image...and keep in mind I did this frame...by frame...by frame. o_O
And here's what the final product of those two frames looks like:

That's why on most of the edits I did I used a frame fade to accent the changes. It's most prevalent in the scene where Sakura sucks her thumb, also when Sakura closes her eyes in the main clip. Makes it hard to not notice the lil stuff. ^_^Nappy wrote:I doubt ppl will notice small stuff like that...

I am about to die from the sugar that is oozing out of every orfice of that video. I don't know about that song man....
I would first DO it, then announce it. Now you have all this pressure of completing it.
That's why I NEVER mentioned MisatoLove to anyone since I didn't want a bunch of pressure on my back to make it... Look what happened, never got made... pheeww.. Someday though!!!

Yeah that's actually sort of the idea, to make a heart stabbingly emotional video about poor Sakura who has no mother but wishes she did. Gonna be passing out the tissues at the end of it, boy lemme tell ya! ^_^
Plus the song has never been used before, so that makes it a plus. Actually it came down to "Somewhere Out There", "Cowboy Mouth - Lovers Or Friends", and "Tiffany - I Want A Mom To Last Forever", and the last wound up being the front runner. In February I probably will make a Cardcaptor Sakura video with "Lovers Or Friends", but not until I finish this first one. I never work on more than one AMV at a time.
Eh, I always finish what I start, I said January, it'll be done in January (or perhaps sooner depending on what other stuff I'm working on this month).I would first DO it, then announce it. Now you have all this pressure of completing it.
Well I've got the luxury of being an artist, meaning that I don't have some silly 9 to 5 job or school or anything. House, food, entertainment, etc is already paid for, so all I have to do, all day long, is be creative. : )That's why I NEVER mentioned MisatoLove to anyone since I didn't want a bunch of pressure on my back to make it... He who accentuates subtlety replaces it with pretention.
