Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Not begging or anything but I just got through with my first amv I've been working on all day, please comment it, don't be too harsh though it is my first ever, with not the greatest software =P.

cool
just joined up to the site hoping to download an amv I noticed on google
but after wasting my time checking my email they say I have to pay 12 dollars
so I'll never see your awesome amv since this site is basically trying to make people pay for free stuff

made me wish the site owners would hurry up and move out of their parents vagina and get a real job

world would appreciate it
and you'll have a little more self esteem
good luck
(though you'll probably fail since your attitude is the same as a bum trying to live off other people who are less lazy)

[MOD 403: To be absolutely clear on this issue, you do not have to pay/donate to download AMVs from this site. Donations keep the site running and are appreciated, and give you some extra perks such as access to the donator's forum.]

Donating is completely optional. Click the Local link, scroll down a little, and you'd notice a button that says 'proceed' and then the download starts =|

Alright I watched the video. I think for a first video, it showed that you knew some of the basics of amvs. You got the sync down at parts and know when to pick high energy scenes when the music calls for it  I would say to work more on coherency though. I didnt see much of a point in the video. I didnt see much of a connection between your sources at times and the concept felt random.
Also work on your video quality. There was some really bad blocking going on through parts of the video. If you got some DVDs, learn to rip those for optimum quality. Also try making the file a x264 MP4. It's much better than WMV. To learn about video quality and some of the technical side of AMVs, use this guide: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech3/
There's even video guides to help walk you through the process at some times ^_^

Nice to see a fresh face around here. Welcome to the Org. Read the rules and dont be afraid to ask for help in the rest of the forums. ^_^

Ooh, Dragonball Z~ *gets*

Hm... pretty good for a first AMV, I'd say. The only suggestion that I would probably give you would be for you to strive to get higher quality clips (or if they are high quality, and the rendering just messed up, then render in .mp4), and the manage aspect ratio a little better. The black bars that kept popping up for certain scenes got mighty annoying sometimes.
Other than that, I liked it. =) Good job!
