This question is sad. There are some editors who's vids I like. There are some editors I respect as people. But idolize them? Fuck that shit. It's better to treat people as people rather than deify them.

Certainly if we look at film there are quite a few actors, directors and such that I have a great admiration and affinity for their work so I would certain say I am a fan and to some extent idolize their work.

Wurpess/Krisqo/Yeiweh deserve some mention in here too, because I idolized their many zany works and cute editing. [to this day, Rythm Bending of Yeiweh, Because of You by Krisqo, and wupress' many MEP tracks that are still on my playlist].

Nice to see someone likes my vids. Might even encourage me to edit again. But what video is "because of you?" I think you got a title wrong since I have no video by that name lol.

But to keep on topic;

I don't really Idolize anyone. I think everyone has their own little things that make them good and I take inspiration from all of them.

It's been... so... long.

Well back in 2000 I started watching Caldwell shiz so he's obviously one of my 'heroes' Than I started learning about editing from the MTT forums so you can add the More Than Toast gang. Than I found the org and clinged onto my first mistake lol Dark Kamui, he was a b*tch... but still I treat his videos like a 'hero'. Over the years I've idolized Silver_Moon and her twin sister Sierra Lorna, JenCM and her twin sister Sacred Arrow, Chiikaboom and her sister *Inverse* -sigh- no all the family connections weren't on purpose :/. Also there's Sarahtheboring and various one hit wonders, Jubjub and the rest of the journal crew (JDax, JadeEyedAngel and so on... and this list keeps growing) and my current favorite, JCD. Oh and Janzki never ceases to amaze me too. Nostromo is cool too.

In terms of AMVs I don't have any idols, people usually tend to just make one single video that I enjoy a lot and then that's it and all of their other stuff sucks. I usually get inspired by what Kev does, but that's just because we have similar taste and views of aesthetics. VIDOK and Yaaku usually hit the spot quite well too tho.
