This video was started back in the fall of 2008. I had just heard the Hollywood Undead CD and was getting ideas with songs from it. The most obvious choice for me was to use Sell Your Soul with Karas. I decided to use only Karas The Revelation becasue I wanted to focus on Otoha's past. I wanted to focus on Otoha's struggles and show him coping with his past while trying to restore his ability to use Karas. Ekou's story runs in contrast to Otoha's, in the first Karas OVA we saw Otoha rise to power while in this OVA we see Ekou start to gain more power while Otoha has begun to regress to his former self.

I liked the closing sequence to this AMV - the sepia-toned flashbacks interlacing first and last fights together was very appropriate and helped concrete the theme of the video - but unfortunately it ended too suddenly; a quick fade-out in the middle of the fight without any outro is too sudden and disruptive. It's an unfortunate trip over the last hurdle because otherwise it's quite good.
