I use Vegas 9 Platinum and have recently found a problem with increasing playback speed of my video clips.
I recently moved and had my pc shut down for a couple days and when I set everything up and started edited my amvs again i discovered the current problem. I've tried using old clips that have been in Vegas before and adding new ones to test out the problem but either way if i try and squeeze (speed up) a clip in vegas the video in that clip goes black. In the timeline i can still see the still frames used for identifing the clip but if i place the cursor anywhere on the clip i get black nothing in the preveiw and the same thing happens if i try playing the clip. But if i try and stretch (slow down) a clip everything works just fine.
I've done hardware/software maintanence, system restore and uninstall/reinstalled the program but the problem still remains. while this isn't a major problem it definitely henders my ability to make quality amvs and just plain bugs and confuses me.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Right-click the clip and under Switches, select Disable Resample.

Thanks that worked.
On a side note, any reason why i only recently ran into this problem? I've been using this software for atleast 6 months with no problems.

I've never been able to pinpoint a particular reason that this happens. It's just something people run into from time to time, as far as I can tell.
