So here's my question. How many of you are actually burning the DVDs and playing them on a standalone player? And of those of you that are, is that a really big deal to you (as in, you wouldn't want to watch them any other way?)
I'm asking because, it seems like doing it this way is starting to become fairly archaic and out-dated. It seems like it'd make more sense to just provide a downloadable pack of just standard video files. It'd be way smaller and easier for people who just want to watch them on their computer. Obviously I don't have any firm data on this but my guess would be that around 75-80% of people would probably be perfectly fine with this and the people that like the DVDs would more than likely be content with doing it this way.
Not only would this make downloading the videos much faster, but it'd save time from the coordinators standpoint where they don't have to mess around with creating DVD menus (that always seem to have bugs), it'd be less likely to screw up as far as syncing/AR goes. Just seems like it's time to give up the ghost and get with the times
