For me
My favortie action anime is Titan AE and my favorite japanimation is Spriggan.
My favorite comedy anime is family guy and I havent realy found any japanimation comedy that I liked.
my favorite fantasy anime is definetly the hobbit, and my favorite japanimation fantasy is escaflowne.
PS Since it has been made clear that anime refers to cartoons in general I have decided to revert back to the more grammaricaly correct term 'japanimation' and hope that everyone else does the same.

Comedy: Simpsons, well, up to a certain point, all the new episodes suck.

Action: Gundam (probably Wing more than the others)
Comedy: Ranma (I HATE Excel, tried WAY too hard)
Fantasy: Orgus 02
