While not prohibited by the rules (and it HAS been done in the past), please remember that all actions bear consequences. The more people that submit 'trash' videos for the mere purpose of getting the judging discs and access to the voting, the worse the contest becomes overall.

There are easier ways of getting the discs if you're REALLY that inclined, and if you want to truly be part of the process, contribute something real to the overall effort. Please don't make people like me that put in a lot of time and effort to execute an event like this regret it by essentially spitting in my (and everyone else who participates) face.

Pardon the vitriol, it was not aimed at you as much as the attitude that surrounds that particular approach. Unfortunately, there are too many people that have adopted this stance in the past, and they tend to be the most critical of their perception of the declining quality of the contest. A bit of the pot calling the kettle black.

What should you do? If you don't have anything that you feel worthy of entering this year, do so next year. Or enter an older video. We encourage new videos to the contest, but it is not mandatory that it be un-premiered and exclusive to this contest (that restriction is reserved for the Masters contest).
