His video "Time" was in the AMV contest "Big Contest" and more recently his video won first place at Japan Expo 2009. I believe his Name is Qwaga, and the video he did was a "Girl Who Leapt Through Time" AMV to the Beatles song "A day in the life".
If his name is Qwaga, then his name should normally be original enough to find his profile on any website, but I can't seem to find an account for him on a-m-v.org, or on youtube, or just typing his name into google. I really admired the video he made, so just trying to find his profile somewhere on the web, and wondered if anybody was familiar with him.

I believe the author goes by Aqwa-Q. I don't think he has a profile on the .org or any other videos.

ah! I believe your version of the name is probably the one he goes by, so that bit of information definitely helps. It seems odd to me considering the mastery of the amv I saw that it's the only one he ever made, but it definitely seems impossible to find a profile for him anywhere on the web. Your answer is probably the best answer I can get.
