Re: My Sasuke V.s. Gaara fighting dreamers beta
Hey there ^^
Concept-wise, I'm not that having a Naruto soundtrack over a simple fight is an innovative combination. I guess I like it when songs that wouldn't necessarily fit Naruto are combined with the footage and actually fit.
Execution-wise, (and you did say you're using WMM, right?), it would be more impressive if the cuts between scenes were made on the actual beat. The song is hard to sync to, because the fourth beat is made loud too, so you can't really go by the squiggly lines on the sound bar - but you'd want to change on the first beat.
You do know about the show storyboard/show timeline button that switches views? And also the zoom in/zoom out buttons? You'd want to zoom in (press "Page Down" many times, as far as you can go) for the finer alterations, and would want to be in timeline view.
The smallest unit of time in WMM is important.
There are a few orphan (i.e. stray frames - frames from the previous scene that aren't supposed to be there). Like at 0.06 - we get a flash of Sasuke's "oh no!" face before we see him jump out of the sand. And the sand hitting the ground would be good for beatsync - don't have to cut to the scene on the beat - can show the sand hitting on that beat.
If your clips at the beginning are too short, then just take a snapshot so it's a still picture, cut it down to size, and use the zoom effect. It replicates what's in the anime, but gives you more in case your footage is too short to make correct cuts that are synched to the beat.
If you wanted to take a look at my (soon-to-be-written) beta thread, that would be cool.
Not required, though.
