Final Fantasy 7: Heroes
Check out my new Final Fantasy video using Skillet's new single "Hero" and footage from all three FF7 sequels/prequels:
The video focuses on the three heroes of the FF7 saga--Cloud, Vincent, and Zach. Using my usual technique emphasizing close lyric sync, the video portrays the characters' selfless and heroic deeds saving others from peril, even at the cost of their own lives. Any comments or suggestions for improving it for contests would be appreciated.

I cannot turn down a Skillet AMV, even if the source is FF7.

considering the fact that he/she stole the song before it was out already, that's the only thing that irritates me about this video. The song doesn't come out to buy until Tuesday. I did like the video though.

The song was out already on the radio and internet radio. I just got it from someone who I presume recorded it from internet radio. I do plan on buying the CD when it comes out though so chill.
Anyway, glad you guys like the video itself.
P.S. I'm a guy. Just in case the name in my sig didn't make that clear.

Okay, that was really good. Possibly the best FF amv I've seen in a fair while. I think you really took advantage of the detail and visual overload inherent in the CGI scenes.

Nice song selection, but nothing more than an average FF amv... Ok, most times the lyrics matched very nicely with the scenes, but that's not enough. 2.5/5 (make it a 3

@ Animated24: Out of curiosity, what would you say does make a good AMV? I've never been one for lots of flashy effects or super rapid scene changes where the clips lose their context, which is what I see in 90% of the more popular AMVs. What would you say the video was lacking to be only average?

I can't just tell you what your video was lacking, but i want you to know that i give a 4 or 5 star rating to videos that have a special feeling, that are somewhat unique, that apart from their storytelling, they pass some emotions... I just couldn't feel like that watching your amv. Look, it's not about your editing style, noone said that putting no effects at all is something bad.
And I'm not the bad guy here, I just think i've seen quite a few Final Fantasy amvs here that surpass yours in every possible aspect (with an exception maybe of scene-to-song matching).
Peace

Okay, cool. Don't worry I'm not offended or anything. I was just wondering if you had some specific tips or something. And yeah, I realize how many FF7 action videos there are out there, so I know it takes a lot to distinguish yourself with one of those.
