Someone can write an entire book in order to attack someone else's book, resulting in over 900 pages worth of criticism. However, if it misses the point entirely, or if the advice goes over the other person's head, then it wasn't constructive. It's not about volume.
I agree that quantity doesn't match quality inherently, but I was being constructive. There are some people who can't even come up with a decent concept, and even fewer who can attempt to execute it. You did both. This is something to feel accomplished about, but it is not the end of the process. I try to balance a near-omnipresence on the site while working full time, being in another timezone, and working on my own projects, so sometimes (or probably most of the time) I come off as terse and blunt. It doesn't negate anything I have said though.
I don't think that I was being clear: there are AMV-editors who are Lupin fans, Lupin fans who are AMV-editors, and Lupin fans. I belong to the latter category. I'm also speaking for the majority of non-editing Lupin fans: Lupin fans don't care if the footage doesn't match, if the inter-lacing is terrible, or even if video was recorded scene-by-scene with a camera. Neither do I.
What Pankyy said. You became an editor by editing. You became a discourse-participating editor by making this announcement thread. Add onto it what Oto said: you can really speak for the majority of Lupin fans? I can't even speak for the majority of KOR fans, and there are like... five of us.

I don't think you can.
Concerning the near-universal gripe about inter-lacing, I attempted to de-interlace the PAL footage, and it ruined the quality. You can't even see the picture. It's technology with which I'm unable to work, so I leave it the way it is.
There are plenty of PAL users on the site. I am sure one could provide a deinterlacing method if you ask.
The definition of "total crap" is rather broad to editors. It also differs for each editor. Some like transitions, and others hate them. Some will watch a video and think that it's bad, and others will watch the same video and think that it's good. Frankly,I liked the result of my video: if you didn't, then you didn't. But it seems that the brunt of your complaint was the mixing of styles, which isn't going to change.
To be clear that was in reference to my own example, my Utena videos. I was just saying that even making something primarily for you, you should want it to look the best you can. And I pretty much think interlacing looks bad to everyone, not just editors. And there is a huge difference between content and processing. I have plenty of videos that look great, that I do not enjoy, certainly. There are videos I have that are horrid quality wise, that I enjoy. That is also true. However, properly processed video plus great content, is so much more enjoyable. For everyone. As a fan, you should recognise that quality is important. Would you rather watch the next Lupin movie on an nth gen VHS tape, or in 1080p on Blu Ray? It's the same with AMVs.
The core of the AMV-viewing Lupin fanbase wants the beats to match the music. Everything else is bells and whistles. As I make my videos, I only want to improve synching beats to music. If there's lyrics, I match to them. That's why I chose the song, so as to reflect the lyrics. You're looking for a story-progressive order that's not lyric-dependent? Make your own Fujiko AMV. I'd like to watch it and not rip it apart. You may be a Fujiko fan, but clearly you're an editor first and a fan second. I can't believe that you watched the Gurren Lagann-themed one after you were repulsed by the Fujiko one. Do me a favor and stop watching my AMVs, because you're wasting your time.
I'm looking for a video that is story-progressive that is not lyric-literal. I never said not lyric-dependent. It is a mistake I too have often made. Used to be a joke about how literal MexicanJunior was. We've all been there. As you improve, you move off of being lyric-literal because it is jarring, and distracting, and isn't story-progressive in all cases.
I am not going to make a Fujiko video, and I am not a Lupin fan. I am not anti-Lupin, but it isn't my fandom. KOR and Utena are my fandoms. I am definitely a fan first for KOR and Utena, but I still want top notch KOR and Utena videos. I wasn't repulsed by your video, I enjoyed the concept. I just wanted to see it done tighter, clearer, and cleaner.
If I thought I was wasting my time, I wouldn't try as hard as I do to offer as much feedback as I do. Criticism is something that benefits the critic as much as the criticised.
