As in too cutesy. The small scenes like themselves didn't grab me like scenes from... 5cm per second, for example. But I guess you can't do anything about that except use a different anime. (and it's understandable if you're a fan of this anime, and want to use it)Anyway, I thought you did a good job in selecting scenes that were appropriate for the lyrics, as well as sort-of atmospheric shots to set the scene.
These types of AMVs aren't ones I really do myself, but there are some which create an atmosphere in a better way... maybe look at the top 10% list to find a couple...

IMO more variation in your editing style would help. I'm not sure what footage there is, but it seemed to be monotonous temporal-wise, as in the amount of time between fades/cuts - also the fact the only effects you'd seemed to use were fades and cuts. That lost its effectiveness after a while.
So, it's a good AMV with the scene selections, but you could push it further with the use of effects and a wider variety of types of edits.
