Everyone seems to have quite interesting jobs. Can't wait until I leave high school and see where life leads me.

So I hear, but... it's got to be better than this seemingly meaningless existence that I am currently living. I'm atheist so I don't believe in a higher power so I'm one of those who thinks that life has absolutely no meaning and we simply live it and die whilst the body rots (someone once told me that it was pathetic and depressing that I think of life this way)... and if you had to compare it to something... than an RPG would be good. You have a starting point, go collect items "money", meet party members "friends/coworkers", have some characters to guide you "teachers, parents, etc" and aim for a purpose "doesn't really matter what it is" and at the end of the day you achieve that purpose and you then go through more meaningless quest. Once you die it's game over. That is what I think of life anyways. So anythings gotta be a better way to kill time than rotting away in my room right?

What a fail way to look at your life... it's not even that bad either. I don't think I could successfully make it through each day with an outlook like yours.
And not anything is better than rotting away in your room (there's gotta be something worse). Besides (since you're a guy), your room will probably rot away before you do (no offense to all the guys who do keep their rooms neat).
