Manga/Anime Gift Suggestions....

Ok, I need help deciding a gift for my little sister. I want to get her an anime or manga for christmas. Though I need to find money first. "Anyways, can any one suggest something along the lines of shoujo or something for girls? Nothing to racey, jeeze, I really don't need my parents on my back for getting something with curses or nudity in it. I was thinking of Peach Girl or something. Prolly something I'd never read, heh. I'm in more of a Ranma 1/2, Cowboy Bebop, let's blow something up kinda genere thing. ^.^ Okay, okay back on topic. Any suggestions?

The Ah! My Goddess movie is pretty good and would probably suit both you and your sister's tastes. It is romance oriented, but has decent action going on as well.

I second the nomination of Totoro or Kiki's.

Nothing offensive in any of them, unless you want to get all bent out of shape and try to include a totally non-erotic family bath scene in Totoro.

Both films are simply beautiful to look at, and they're easily excellent family fare to boot.

...goodie, ^.^ I just relized My Neighbor Totoro was also made by Hayao Miyazaki. I knew Kiki's Delivery Service was but I didn't know about Totoro. Princess Mononoke is one of my favorites. heh.

I think the region 1 DVD of Totoro comes out this Tuesday as well. It is pan and scan dub only, but it is still a good movie. Perhaps you should keep an eye out for it.
