  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Not your typical TokiShoujo vid, I will give you that.

I found the song and the editing to be incredibly painful. Good. Appropriate. But painful. The video has no review for me because I can't stand to watch it again. Not to say I wasn't interested in it while I watched it. I am sure there are plenty of people here who will be able to handle the editing. I can't watch their videos more than once either. I'll just leave it at the fact I liked the concept, thought it was well executed, and have zero interest in subjecting myself to it ever again. I think that's a net positive.

I... haven't watched this anime. >.>

But I get the general gist that a girl dies and then something happens. :|

Anyway, I thought you had the "cutting in offbeat ways to maintain interest" editing style down pat.

But it got a bit repetitive - as in seeing it over and over reduced its effect - so things you could do to break the monotony? I noticed there were zero effects in it - anything basic (except I generally hate it when a basic effect is used throughout the AMV - remember, we're trying to break the monotony) - and with the weird colours when she's falling in that clock thing, you could have changed the hue so it's different. The other thing is that there's an almost unwritten rule that you shouldn't reuse footage, at least too often. Maybe your hands were tied in this, but at least try to do something to the footage to make it a bit different.

Also, visuals were weird, so that was interesting.

And I liked the music - kind of grand with the woman singing loudly - fits the grand theme of... whatever the plot is in the anime. <.<

In the anime, the girl doesn't die, I changed the plot to make it seem like that, because I wanted to make it a bit different from the original plot. I know some things are a bit repetitive, but I wanted to make the effect by using no effect if it make any sense. Anyhow, you're damn right with the monotony part, I got distracted with the plot part, and didn't noticed the other errors...thanks for reminding me that an amv means more than plot. ^^
