Question about media playback.

Post by loganwolvy » Sat Nov 30, 2002 5:45 pm

Lately, I've been cheap and downloading some of my favorite Kenshin episodes. However, I ran into an error with my Windows Media Player 7.1. It gave me an error when I tried to play one saying that I didn't have the correct codec, or something to that effect.

And now the question - what can I do to fix this? WMP tried downloading the codec, but I guess it was the wrong one or something silly like that.

I see a couple of options...I could:

a) fix WMP, or

b) ask you all what players you use to view what you download(if you are a cheap person like myself).

Any tips would be most apprecated. =0)

Go to www.doom9.org and install all the divx codecs. It should work after that. :D

THanks for the reply, mexicanjunior!

One question...is there a specific place I should install those to, or do the executables themselves take care of everything? =0)
