I do not find it sad that old amvs just kind of die.
Some of my friends who didn't know about my amvs [they watch anime, never seen amvs] saw my amvs and I compared them to the newer ones. [I didn't tell them I edited however...]
They liked all of them...
There seems to be a misconception that fx make good amvs. That's kinda backwards. SOME good amvs use special fx, some don't. Sometimes you feel like a nut. sometimes you don't... etc.
My amvs will never die. All ya gotta do is the occasional opinion exchange, show it to friends who like anime, and it lives on in more people's memories.
There once was a time when Zarxrax said my amvs were among the best. [obviously, he's better than me now lol] But I've made my mark.
You don't have to be mexicanjunior or Koopiskeva to 'matter' in the world of amvs. I suppose I was lucky in that I started during a time when the dance amv was endangered species. Old amvs don't die. They're memorials that the future amvs can stand alongside and be proud of. Wait, that means they died. DOH!
