I'm trying to import a video into sony vegas 8.0a with the fourcc code of "div3; DIV3". If I change it into "xvid; XVID" or "divx; DIVX" or "DX50", I can not play the file on my vlc player AND it only shows a black screen once it's imported into vegas with my timeline.
Does anyone know the FourCC code for 'div3' so that I may successfully import into my timeline and be able to see something so I can obviously edit.
Thanks in advance.

Re: FourCC Code
It's DivX 3.11alpha
DivX, xvid, etc. are not designed for editing. You should convert to a lossless codec first.

Yea, it's a downloaded episode source. Lol
Unfortunately, I can not import it into Vdub. It's not a VFW codec. Do you, or anyone, know how I can convert it to a lossless?
Thanks in advance.

Re: FourCC Code
You have to install the DivX 3.11alpha
codec to open it in virtualdub.
Or you could use FFVideoSource in Avisynth.
