Sharing your Rotoscopes

Does anyone loan out there rotoscopes. Is that Taboo? I know it takes a long time to cut all that out but if someone see some footage you have already rotoscoped and wanted to borrow (while giving credit of course) would you let them.

I would but I just started rotoscoping and i haven't saved any of them because they suck..... Im workin on it, so once I get the hang of it ill message u!!! ^_^ Whats ur utube, im so much more active on that.

I think it's a really good idea. I've thought about it before. But I've never rotoscoped any significant amount.

I still have all the rotoscoped frames I did for cookies, but they have big black blurry borders and are of a shamefully small resolution (640x352). The quality varies too... anyways there should be slightly above 200 pics. The shorter animations should be of a couple frames long while the longer animations are of about 30/40 frames... I wouldn't mind sharing them if you wish, it's just about them being not-so-good.

I tend to toss out my 1000+ frames of rotoscoping after the video is done.

Dragon Bebop Z was at least 300, Go the Distance was around 150, Haunted Ship and Naruto Ball Z were at least 800-1000+

I've thought about it before as well. But I don't really have anything terribly unique that I've rotoed. Just some talking heads.

I've thought about the concept of sharing rotoscopes. I dont really like the idea of it at all. Sure it's convenient, but it will lead to certain scenes being overused and in practically the same way. Let's say someone were to distribute their rotoscoped Haruhi dance. Not like we dont already have that scene in a lot of AMVs, but now any kind of video that was creative with that dance, such as Skittles or Attack of the Otaku, would loose value. Would I give out my own rotoscopes, if I had any to give any to give out? I most likely wouldn't. I admit though, I would probably be okay with giving it to a close friend or two.

It doesn't sound like a bad idea but can someone plz tell me what rotoscoping is? I hear it used on here all the time synonymously with masking but I wanted to know what's the difference? Does it have something to do with the software you are using?
