Haha, isn't it an unwritten rule that no matter what footage you put to this song, it will automatically come out epic as hell with pathos up the wazoo?

Certainly applies to the potato chips here, don't it!
Well let's see. Actually this was kinda almost the opposite from what I expected - it felt like you're putting in just a little too much editing in sometimes. Some of the rhythmic multi-screen and black-box stuff is quite cool; but in other places some of the effects (like stretches, embosses, distortions and shatters) are somewhere between not really necessary (i.e. wasn't the original footage good enough?) and occasionally plain ugly. There was too many different editing effects here - it's much better to pick a set and stick with them, otherwise you start confusing the viewer; it's hardly likely you'll impress them because these are, of course, standard 'canned' effects that any NLE program will have. I understand the temptation going into a first video - here you have all these cool toys in the editor, why not try them all? But from the viewer's perspective, that's really not very effective. So better to take a few, make sure they look good, and apply them well.
Oh, and the intro/outro were a little too long for my taste
Otherwise makes a cool extended trailer. Nothing terribly unusual, but you certainly have your editing basics down well. Just keep it simple with the effects next time, because aside from that you certainly know how to time and pace things very well. Best of luck.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
