Meet and Greet? I have never been to one of those, what does one generally do?

we meet... we greet...

actually there are a lot of M&Gs at expo (and i'm sure other cons) for all sorts of things, and each one is usually held by different people and therefore will do things differently.

but for this one in particular, last year Stryyder and I set up our M&G in a Karaoke Bar/Buffet in Li'l Tokyo. and we watched amvs for 5 hours on one of the restaurant's tvs.

here, go to the official thread to read up on more details: http://forums.anime-expo.org/index.php?showtopic=10319

Indeed there is a buffet there (typical japanese fair including basic sushi) that will probably be open until 9 or 9:30, plus a bar open later (for those OVER the age of 21 of course). And just to confirm, I think Rider said it in the quote above, but just as last year, people will be responsible for their own payment. You can start a tab at the bar, they just require a credit card or id to hang on to which you will get back when you pay your tab. This system worked really well and I want to thank everyone for taking care such good care of the restaurant staff last year, they had nothing but praise for you guys.

Almighty, you can put me down as confirmed as I will be coming ( )... I might have a guest so I'll update that part as soon as I confirm them.... BTW, I am coming not to attend the con panels, etc, but to hang out with new and people I've not seen in a while and so I expect you guys to be around during the con  also of course to attend the AMV contest just like in the good old days!

And if you really want, I can bring down one of the portable 2T drive arrays that houes the convention video archive that I use in my AMV rooms for the dinner in case you want to play something as chances are it's on it. It's USB and FW so it's easy to hoockup to a laptop too

Thanks for the offer but we have it covered. We're putting together a list and we'll just throw it on random. Taking requests or trying to play specific ones during the night gets dicey because the hookup to the TV is behind a wall and not accessible from the eating area. But if you have any requests we'd be glad to put them up. I'm sure we'll add Memories Dance and Love is a Battlefield to the list, both are favorites of ours.
