Need some help with picking an anime for a song

I'm wanting to use the song same direction by hoobstank but i cant think of any animes the song would go good with.

Id more then appreciate some suggestions as to which anime would go best with the song.

If I was gonna make an amv with that song I would definitely use Fullmetal Alchemist. Don't know if you've already ruled that one out but I think it fits Ed really well. Because he's on this journey and how he leaves home and then refuses to conform to the way he's supposed to be in the military. And

he finds out that a lot of what he believed in at the beginning of the anime was a lie. He has to kind of grow up along the way and make hard choices. The lyrics about all along going in the same direction could be related to the way that he wanted to join the military so much at first and he idealized the notion that they had about state alchemists and had trouble coming to terms with the truth.

There's a lot of character development that seems to fit to me.

It's a good song for Asuka and Shinji
"not enough, never is" is totally Shinji. And going on till the end would fit him and especially Asuka and even Misato. I'd use footage from the movie too. For the final fight part.
The lyric "without you f***ing up" could be Asuka

about her self-hatred when she doesn't think she's good enough and can't pilot Eva.
I would make the lyric "I knew this day would come to end so let this life begin" about Rei the episode where she dies in the eva and then she wakes up in the hospital and she says that she's the third would be good. Some tears and some dramatic death. I think it's around the 20th ep.

So I think that would make a really good combo. If you pick a different anime than I might use that song when I get around to making an Eva vid someday XD Don't know if I'd ever get around to it tho lol
