Importing .avs to vegas..??

After I ripped and wrote the script to clean up my footage, I wanted to save it as clips using Lagarith Lossless, but once I went to check how was the thing going I note that each episode was of about 4 GB in size, what is waay to big for my liking..
so i went and checked the guide again, and read something about being able to import the avs directly into the editing software...the thing is that I don't really get how..
I use vegas pro 8.0...
PLz can someone tell me how to import it or how to compress the clips to make them smaller...??

Don't encode entire episodes losslessly, you can use virtualdub/mod to make the clips that you use.

This will cut down the space taken up by lossless encodes

open the video file in virtualdub mod go to video->compression->Huffyuv
then go to file->save

Ways of saving file space

use those buttons to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want to use so you can save file space.

also go to streams->streams list->disable stream to disable the audio and save even more file space.

To use the .avs 'directly' in Vegas, you'll have to run it through either VFAPI or MakeAVIS. They'll create fake .avi files out of the scripts that Vegas will be able to see. The size of the fake .avi is negligible.

VFAPI comes with the AMVapp and I believe there is a piece of the guide that talks about it.
