Why: Lelouch is in short, pure awesomeness. He has a brilliant mind, is sensitive towards the people of the world (eh.... Ignoring the countless people he's responsible for killing...), has enough insight to know exactly what the world needs and still manages to keep alive in the end (SHUSH YOU NAYSAYERS!). He's not like Kira who used to be my favorite anime character, because I realized that unlike Kira, he' doesn't have a God complex. Seriously, when you have the entire world in your hands and STILL give it up, you have to have some sort of respect for the guy. Plus, he's got enough guts to do everything that he did and never back down.

How many people can try to singlehandedly take over the world, and almost do it? How many people can take on a god, die, come back to life, and then hand it its head. How many people are actually older than the demons they controls. Dark Schneider is the single biggest badass there ever was in anime. The only person that could almost hold a candle to him is Lina Inverse, and I'd give that fight to Darsh on ego alone

Since the anime ruined her story i will base my reasons of the visual novel. Basically she became willing to kill her former masters in order to avenge the lewd acts placed on her. Eventually she come to terms with the situation but after many horrid events. Her peppy nature yet twisted sides make her a really interesting character, i think she was written really well and it saddens me that anime portrayal was not to typemoons original writing of her, but that happens with many novel to anime translations /ends rant.
