AMV highlights of the last...hmm....year or so.

Hi everyone. I know this is (roughly) the wrong section but the damn thing won't let me post in the 'Recommend AMV' section.

So I've been away from the whole AMV community for a while, mainly as I've a little busy with my the career thing (and absolutely nothing to do with my mac sucking when I last tried to make an AMV ) and I wanna get back into it. I need a little inspiration, though. But before I go downloading random AMV's, and because I'm too lazy to research this myself (I do enough of that at work lol,) I'd like to ask you, the pros of the AMV world - Whats been the crem de la crem of the AMV's in the last year. What's won the big comps?

And also...what's been the most overused anime and music lately? Besides Dragonball and linkin park (are they still around?) I'm tipping Kate Perry and Lucky Star would be high on the 'Please stop using' list. (Which is a shame because I've just started liking Kate Perry's boo...i mean, lucky star)

I do actually have preliminary nominees done for compiling a DVD for '08 (and while some VCA winners are there, just scanning that list there's only 4 or 5 on there that stand a chance to get in). I already kind of did one for '06-'07, but not under the same criteria*. I need to redo those years separately, without the same constraints the initial one used.

*it was for the Anime Club at my old High School, and they wanted 'more popular' entries so it wasn't completely '06-'07, and there were restrictions on the maturity of the content. There was also some shameless self-pimping present as well that I need to remove.
